Join us as Frontend Lead (m/f/d) on our next exciting chapter where we’re taking Opinary to new markets and expand our services and client universe internationally.
Your responsibilities:
- You foster a frontend chapter vision and structure the steps to get closer to this vision
- You set the standards in terms of code quality, test quality, and level of automation
- Together with the CTO, you flag the importance to get it prioritized
- You guide the team towards a strong engineering culture (practices, habits, etc.)
- You decide which technologies we are using and you constantly improve the architecture
- You are responsible for Frontend applications stability and efficiency and maintainability
- You’re responsible for the successful delivery of the FE features and products
- You ensure the frontend engineers become more senior by providing feedback and helping them find their blind spots
- You support your team in seting development goals and you keep them accountable to reach them
- You will build extensible, testable, and readable code and services.
- You will develop features to enhance the user experience and collaborate with designers and Product Managers along the way.
- You will closely collaborate with other team members and actively participate in API design and usability testing.
- You will be developing, maintaining, and improving the existing vanilla JS, React, Redux codebases.
- You will be responsible for integrations.
- You will create and maintain the CI/CD pipelines for all the frontend applications.
- You will be ensuring web design is optimized for mobile.
- You will be responsible for the speed, stability, and scalability of the applications you build.
Your profile:
- You have 5+ years of experience as a Frontend engineer; people manager experience is a plus
- You have a good understanding of asynchronous programming paradigms and request handling
- You are a leader. You think ahead and you are able to take people there, in their head and in their actions
- You understand the whole business and the needs of the different teams
- You’ve worked on a large project and you’ve had the chance to run it on production.
- You know how to test your code and you are thorough with the test cases.
- You can navigate and debug code that is not familiar to you.
- You have knowledge about responsive design and browser differences.
- You work with different technologies and frameworks and you are open to learning something new.
- You have worked closely with designers and you can anticipate the users’ needs.
- You’re proactive and curious: always eager to learn new things and happy to share your knowledge with others.
- You communicate clearly about your progress and you can anticipate your colleagues’ needs.
